Let’s know ourselves!

First of all, we need to know ourselves (the invitation to “know thyself” is also known as the account from the Temple of Apollo in Delphi), both in terms of proper nutrition and skin care, but also in order to achieve relaxation and thus to ensure balance in our lives, said the two speakers at the NANU Tea Party with journalists on Thursday, 16. on 16 June at the Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana, the well-known musician Tinkara Kovač and Nuša Marinc, formulator and founder of NANU natural cosmetic lines.

How the ‘beautiful girl’ was born

The NANU cosmetic line (NANU means ‘beautiful girl’ in Hindi) was ‘born’ because Nuša herself has very dry and sensitive, even allergenic skin, for which she could not find suitable cosmetic products on the market, so she set out to research and test her own formulas, and the first creams from her laboratory were happily tested by family members. When her career path led her to leave her previous job in a bank, it was time to embark on a completely new – entrepreneurial-creative – path, and so, from 2019 (and until 2021), she has developed eight (eco)certified products in the NANU natural cosmetics line, one of which (a luxury rejuvenating facial oil ‘Antioxidant Oil Serum – Ageless Defense Oil Serum‘) was also awarded a prestigious international award in March this year. Beauty Shortlist – EDITOR`S CHOISE.

And so this year, Nanu has also brought Tinkara as an ambassador. Tinkara met the challenge of finding (and finding) the right cosmetics when she became a mother and was first looking for quality cosmetics for her two little girls. It was also the first time she thought that everything we ingest enters our digestive tract, whereas the skin itself has no such mechanism and everything we put on it enters our system directly. This is why it is all the more important to use the right products for our needs, or rather, the right products for our skin. In this case, for the needs of our own skin, which means that we need to observe ourselves and pay attention to the effects, they agreed.

Let’s breathe and enjoy life!

What do Tinkara and Nusa do for their own deep relaxation? Tinkara (also as an ‘NLP coach’) is skilled in various breathing techniques for relaxation, which she practices regularly – even before she steps on stage – and Nuša gets a Japanese face lift at least once a month, which not only stimulates blood circulation but also deeply relaxes and energises her, and as the last relaxation she indulged in, she mentioned attending Tinkara’s concert the night before (Tinkara’s 15. On June 15th, Tinkar presented her new album ‘Infinity’ at the Slamič concert hall in Ljubljana). The social side of life must also be taken care of, they pointed out, and Tinkara also stressed the importance of a critical approach in the choice of products we consume and use in our daily lives, as a sustainable approach in the choice of (products and services, for example, also from local providers and producers) contributes to our well-being.

Answering journalists’ questions, Nuša talked about the difference between natural and ‘commercial’ cosmetics, sunscreens, the reasons for (accelerated) skin ageing, and skin care in different seasons, as we all too often forget to take care of our (skin) properly, especially in the summer. On the sidelines of the event, Tinkara also presented her relaxation method and invited the gathered media representatives to perform a short relaxation practice.

After the summer, NANU tea parties will be held, hosted by Tinkara, with interesting guests, all on the theme of living well, and participants will always be sent home with a concrete ‘gift’, either in the form of a newly learnt breathing technique or a new method of relaxation or relaxation. A new breathing technique, or a new way of meditation.

About Tinkara and Nusha:

Tinkara Kovač is a well-known singer, pop-rock musician, flutist and pedagogue (flute professor), whose life – apart from her two girls – is filled with numerous projects, ranging from musical, pedagogical and purely business. She is also a certified and licensed NLP ‘coach’ and has many new things in the pipeline for the future, including an innovative programme that combines human voice, music and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). This year Tinkara also became the first NANU Ambassador.

After finishing secondary school in chemistry, Nuša enrolled at the Faculty of Biotechnology, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology. Due to her dry, sensitive and allergy-prone skin, she has also spent a lot of time choosing quality cosmetic products. As she was unable to find a cosmetic that really suited her, she started intensive training in this field and developed her own line – NANU – between 2019 and 2021. She has taken many courses both at home and abroad and has enrolled in additional training at the renowned British school Formula Botanica, where she obtained a certificate in organic anti-age skincare.
