Facial cleansing is the key to better looking skin!
Facial cleansing removes dead skin cells, dust, dirt, and makeup from the skin. This allows the skin to breathe and perform its job more effectively. Improper cleansing can do more harm than good. The skin on the face is extremely thin, more so than anywhere else on the body, except the genitals. It is also the most exposed, which makes proper facial cleansing even more important. Water alone is not enough to cleanse the face because it does not remove the dirt and bacteria that accumulate on the face every day. Ordinary soap is not suitable either, as it dries out the skin too much. Instead, use a gentle cleanser designed for facial cleansing, which will not irritate the skin but will still be effective enough to remove dirt.
Once you have gently cleansed your skin with cleansing milk, be sure to rinse it with lukewarm water (never hot water). Then it’s time to tone.
Facial toner is used to refresh the skin and remove make-up residues. It is usually used after cleansing the skin and before applying a cream or other moisturizing product. The toner can also help regulate the pH of the skin if the face is washed with basic cleansing products, e.g. with natural hard soaps.
If the toner is used to remove make-up residue, it is usually applied to a cotton pad and gently wiped over the face. If the toner is only used to refresh or balance the pH of the skin, it can be sprayed on the face using a spray bottle and allowed to dry.
Our beauty ritual is usually continued with the use of serums. Serums are not essential for skin care, but they are desirable, as the proportion of active ingredients in cream is limited, whereas in serum we can add as many as you like. This is why serums are at least 10 times more effective than targeted creams.
Finally, apply a nourishing cream to the face to restore moisture and create a protective layer. All skin needs a cream, even oily skin – just be careful to choose the right product so it doesn’t weigh your skin down. Cleanse your face once a day, ideally before bedtime, when you should also remove make-up. In the morning, a toner is enough to freshen up your face. For normal and oily skin, cleansing products can be used in the morning and at night. Oily skin produces too much sebum overnight, which cannot be removed without active cleansing agents.
